In the Lázaro Galdiano Museum in Madrid there is to be found a marble torso with breastplate which is considered to be one of the most relevant findings from the Iruña/Veleia (Trespuentes, Álava) site, converted into the symbol of the magazine Veleia of the Institute of the Sciences of Antiquity of the University of the Basque Country. Nevertheless, the study of documentation in the possession of the Archive of the Historic Territory of Álava allows one to suppose a different origin, namely the Self-governing Community of Navarre.
Madrilgo Lázaro Galdiano Museoan marmolez egindako gorputz-enbor koraza- dun bat dago, Iruña/Veleiako (Tresponde, Araba) aztarnategian egindako aurki- kuntza garrantzitsuenetako bat bezala hartzen dena, eta Euskal Herriko Unibert- sitateko Antzinaroko Zientzien Institutuaren Veleia aldizkariaren sinbolo bihurtu dena. Hala eta guztiz ere, Arabako Lurralde Historikoko Artxiboan dagoen doku- mentazioa aztertu ondoren pentsa daiteke beste jatorri bat duela, Nafarroako Foru Komunitatetik datorrena.
