La lucha independentista en Cuba desde 1868-1898, tiene numerosas páginas de heroísmo convertidas en escudo y espada de la nación. No obstante, las potencias imperialistas quieren borrar esa historia. Esto hace que los profesores tengan que auxiliarse de numerosos recursos para hacer más comprensible y atractivo el contenido a la hora de impartirlo y de esta forma elevar la calidad del conocimiento de los estudiantes. Como resultado del diagnóstico fáctico se constata que aún son insuficientes los conocimientos de los estudiantes acerca de las peculiaridades del proceso independentista cubano en el siglo XIX. Por la importancia que tiene esta área del saber histórico en la formación integral de los profesores en formación, se desarrolla el siguiente trabajo, el cual tiene como objetivo: reflexionar en torno al tratamiento didáctico del recurso humorístico en el contenido acerca de las guerras independentistas de la disciplina Historia de Cuba, para favorecer el conocimiento de la historia patria en los estudiantes.

Our struggle for independence from 1868-1898, has numerous pages of heroism turned into shield and sword of our nation. Nevertheless, the imperialist powers want to erase that history. This means that the teacher has to help himself with numerous resources to make the content more comprehensible and attractive when imparting it and in this way raise the quality of the students' knowledge. As a result of the factual diagnosis, there is still insufficient knowledge of the students about the peculiarities of the Cuban independence process in the 19th century. Because of the importance of this area of historical knowledge in the integral formation of teachers in training, the following work is developed, which aims to reflect on the didactic treatment of the humorous resource in the content referring to the wars of independence of the discipline History of Cuba, to favor the knowledge of the homeland history in the students.
