  • Resumen
    • The Internet is heralded as major innovation in education as well as in many other spheres of human endeavour. Schools are being encouraged and in some cases are obliged to make use of the Internet for teaching. The National Curriculum in the United Kingdom, for example, which is a mandatory instrument, includes Internet use amongst the entitlement for all children. This paper examines the views and experiences of teachers in the UK who are charged with the task of integrating Internet use into their teaching. A small scale pilot survey asks for teachers to give details of their background, use of the Internet and their views on its potential and possible drawbacks. The results indicate high level of Internet use across a broad range of curriculum subjects, and an enthusiasm for further development. The nature of the investigation is such that some questions are left unanswered and further plans for investigation are outlined.
