    En este trabajo intentamos abordar en detalle la visita de Köhler a la Argentina en 1930 para mostrar la historia de la recepción de la Gestalttheorie en este país. Combinamos el enfoque de los estudios de recepción con el análisis de las condiciones materiales de circulación del conocimiento en tránsito.

    La visita ocurrió durante el período de la psicología argentina descrito por Klappenbach (2006) como la era filosófica. Señalamos que los conocimientos previos de la Gestaltheorie estaban presentes en Buenos Aires y en las instituciones que patrocinaron la actividad. Por este motivo, analizamos artículos publicados, periódicos y las actas de la Institución Cultural Argentino-Germana, que fue la institución que patrocinó la visita del científico alemán. El objetivo de esta institución era difundir la cultura alemana en la Argentina pero, además, sostenemos que esta visita podría entenderse en términos del interés por la psicología de un público más amplio también. Así, mostramos las múltiples afiliaciones institucionales de los intelectuales que participaron en “La Cultural” y cómo esta condición facilitó las conexiones y los intercambios personales entre personas de diferentes campos.

    In this work we attempt to address in detail Köhler´s visit to Argentina in 1930 to show the history of reception of Gestalttheorie in this country. We combine the approach of reception studies with the analysis of material conditions of circulation of the knowledge in transit. The visit occurred during the period of Argentinean Psychology described by Klappenbach (2006) as the philosophic era. We point out that previous knowledge on Gestaltheorie was present in Buenos Aires and the institutions that sponsored the activity. Because of this, we analyze published papers, newspapers and proceedings of the Institución Cultural Argentino-Germana that was the institution that effectively sponsored the visit of the German scientist. The aim of the institution was to disseminate the German culture in Argentina but, in addition, we hold that this visit could be understood in terms of the interest in psychology of a wider audience as well. Thus, we show the multiple institutional affiliations of the intellectuals who participated in “La Cultural” and how this condition made the connections and personal exchanges between people from different fields easier.
