Resumen de El barrio cordobés del Campo de la Verdad: en los siglos de la modernidad (1570-1807)

El objetivo del trabajo es el estudio del barrio del Campo de la Verdad en Córdoba durante la Edad Moderna. A lo largo de este período se distinguen en su devenir histórico varias etapas bien definidas. En la primera se lleva a cabo en 1570 la fundación de la parroquia que resulta determinante en el impulso de este espacio urbano en las tres últimas décadas del XVI. Por el contrario, en la centuria siguiente se produce una fuerte crisis como consecuencia de las epidemias y graves daños originados por las inundaciones del río Guadalquivir. El siglo XVIII marca un dinamismo demográfico y económico que contrasta con el declive registrado en el tránsito del setecientos al ochocientos.

The goal of this work is the study of the Campo de la Verdad neighborhood in Cordoba during the Modern Age. Throughout this period, it can be differentiate in its historical trajectory several stages well defined. In the first one, it is carried out in 1570 foundation of the parish that results crucial for the triggering of this urban space in the last three decades of 16th century. On the contrary, in the next century it is produced a important crisis as a consequence of the epidemics and serious damage originated by the floodings of Guadalquivir river. The 18th century is characterized by a demographic and economic dynamism which contrast with the slope registered in the transit from the seven hundred to the eight hundred.
