  La función simbólica, al igual que las representaciones mentales son conceptos que se suelen utilizar mucho dentro del contexto de la evaluación y rehabilitación del lenguaje, no obstante, pensamos que son realmente grandes desconocidos. Estudiar sus elementos, la interacción entre ellos, sus aportaciones a la configuración del lenguaje, y explorar sus posibilidades en la adquisición y desarrollo del lenguaje será el objetivo de este trabajo.

  The symbolic function, like the mental representations are concepts that are usually used a lot within the context of the evaluation and rehabilitation of the language, nevertheless, we think that they are really great strangers. Studying their elements, interacting among them, their contributions to language configuration, and exploring their possibilities in language acquisition and development will be the goal of this work.
