La denominación de origen Penedés: contexto histórico, geográfico y enoturístico

    La Denominación de Origen Penedés, región ubicada entre Barcelona y Tarragona, es la más importante de Cataluña en términos de tamaño y producción. Su historia y patrimonio vitivinícola son muy antiguos y de gran riqueza. Así, este trabajo de investigación se centra en un doble objetivo, por un lado se pretende contrastar la hipótesis de la existencia de un relación positiva entre el número total de empresas viticultoras y la producción total, en hectolitros, y por otro en los últimos años existe un interés común por proteger su paisaje vitícola. Es por ello que se ha elaborado la Carta del Paisaje del Penedés, paisaje vitícola que se quiere postular como bien cultural Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Bajo estas circunstancias las instituciones públicas y privadas del Penedés pretenden convertir la D.O. Penedés en Denominación de Origen Calificada, asimismo para alcanzar este objetivo se trabaja para promover eficientemente el enoturismo de calidad

    The Penedés Designation of Origin, a region located between Barcelona and Tarragona, is the most important in Catalonia in terms of size and production. Its history and viticulture heritage are very old and of great wealth. Thus, this research work focuses on a dual objective, on the one hand is to contrast the hypothesis of the existence of a positive relationship between the total number of wine companies and total production, in hectoliters, and secondly in recent years There is a common interest to protect its viticulture landscape. That is why the Penedés Landscape Charter has been drawn up, which is postulated to be a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Under these circumstances, the public and private institutions of Penedés intend to convert the D.O. Penedés in Qualified Denomination of Origin, also to achieve this goal is working to promote quality wine tourism efficiently.
