Resumen de La Biblia de Alba: Los temas antropomórficos de la presencia divina

En este artículo nos centraremos en las escenas bíblicas veterotestamentarias (ni las miniaturas preliminares que ilustran el encargo de la biblia, ni las marginalia) con exclusiva atención a la representación de la divinidad, ya que consideramos que es el tema de mayor controversia dentro de la encrucijada judeo-cristiana. Nuestro objetivo es observar de qué manera esta presencia divina se ha plasmado plásticamente y qué soluciones gráficas ha adoptado a lo largo del manuscrito. Para ello analizaremos en primer lugar algunas de las miniaturas que han sido clasificadas como “Dios-Cristo” por la estudiosa Sonia Fellous, señalando las variantes de representación. Posteriormente, propondremos otras imágenes que hemos llamado el “Ángel de Dios” y el “Busto de Dios” y que no fueron incluidas en la clasificación de Fellous como representaciones de Dios, pero que creemos que iconológicamente están relacionadas con la presencia divina. Trataremos de justificarlo por medio de un ejercicio de comparación entre la imagen y el texto que ilustra.

In this article we will focus on the Old Testament biblical scenes (neither the preliminary miniatures that illustrate the bible's commission, nor the marginalia) with exclusive attention to the representation of the divinity, since we consider that it is the topic of greatest controversy within the Jewish-Christian crossroads. Our objective is to observe in what way this divine presence has been plastically shaped and what graphic solutions it has adopted throughout the manuscript. For this we will first analyze some of the miniatures that have been classified as "God-Christ" by the scholar Sonia Fellous, pointing out the variants of representation. Later, we will propose other images that we have called the "Angel of God" and the "Bust of God" and that were not included in the classification of Fellous as representations of God, but that we believe are iconologically related to the divine presence. We will try to justify it by means of a comparison exercise between the image and the text that it illustrates.
