Resumen de Enrique Granados y Joaquín Nin: dos formas complementarias de concebir e interpretar la historia

  Enrique Granados y Joaquín Nin contribuyeron significativamente al movimiento de recuperación de repertorio histórico que tuvo lugar en España a través del pensamiento y de la práctica durante las últimas décadas del siglo XIX y las primeras del siglo XX. Enrique Granados se centró en los retornos a los siglos XVI y XVIII desde numerosas facetas, especialmente en la interpretación pianística y la composición sinfónica, así como también en el campo editorial, con una mirada al pasado adscrita a una línea romántica. Joaquín Nin, por su parte, apostó por una vuelta completa y ambiciosa, cuyo marco geográfico y cronológico comprendía las diferentes tradiciones musicales europeas de los siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII, regida por la búsqueda de un mayor rigor histórico en la interpretación del repertorio antiguo. Sus distintas «interpretaciones» nos muestran cómo la vuelta al pasado se realizó desde diferentes perspectivas, pero con un mismo fin: difundir el conocimiento de la música histórica.

  Enrique Granados and Joaquín Nin contributed significantly to the revival of historical repertoire that took place in Spain during the last decades of the nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth through thought and practice. Enrique Granados focused on returning to the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries in various facets, especially piano performance and symphonic composition, but also in the field of music publishing, casting a view on the past from a romantic perspective. Joaquín Nin, meanwhile, opted for a complete and ambitious revival with geographical and temporal frames that covered the different European musical traditions of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries directed by the search for greater historical accuracy in the performance of early music. Their different «interpretations» show us how the return to the past could be done from varied perspectives but for the same purpose: to spread the knowledge of historical music.
