Las relaciones Estados Unidos-Rusia en la era Trump

    El presente artículo trata de despejar el interrogante de si el rumbo de la nueva política exterior americana hacia Rusia supone una ruptura o es, por el contrario, continuista respecto de la administración Obama, tratando a la vez de identificar las posibles áreas de “cooperación” y “conflicto” entre ambas potencias. Salvo en la cuestión iraní, en la que Trump apuesta por romper la baraja forzando la salida de EEUU de la JCPOA, no parece que la nueva Administración vaya a dar volantazos que vayan más allá de lo puramente efectista, como parece ser el caso de Corea del Norte, dejando llevar la iniciativa a Putin en todas las “áreas críticas” o espacios de conflicto heredados de la administración Obama, prevaleciendo la continuidad frente a la ruptura en todas las iniciativas llevadas a cabo por la nueva administración en dichos espacios, ya sean en forma de acciones militares, diplomáticas, o económicas en forma de sanciones.

    This article try to answer the question of whether the direction of the new American foreign policy towards Russia signifies a rupture or on the contrary, implies some continuity with respect to the Obama administration, trying at the same time to identify the possible areas of "cooperation" and "conflict" between both powers. With the exception of the Iranian question, in which Trump bets to break the deck by forcing the US out of the JCPOA, it does not seem that the new Administration will give a shrp turn that goes beyond the purely gimmicky, as seems to be the case of North Korea, leaving the initiative to Putin in all the "critical areas" or spaces of conflict inherited from the Obama administration, Apparently continuity prevails over rupture in all the initiatives carried out by the new administration in the different spaces, whether in the form of military, diplomatic actions, or in the form of sanctions.
