  • The article focuses on the role hospitals should play through community health needs assessments (CHNA) in helping communities prepare for climate change. It states CHNAs provide hospitals with a strong vehicle for collaborating with public health and environmentalists in identifying local health needs that are associated with climatic conditions. It suggests many local hospitals fail to provide support for environmental projects despite the obvious impacts on community health.
