  • The article reports on high rates of tuberculosis and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis which are being seen in China in 2012. The impact that high rates of the disease are having on China's health budget and overall economic productivity is examined. A discussion of health posters which were utilized as an educational tool in China's public health campaigns between 1950 and 1980 is presented. An increased emphasis which the Chinese government has placed on curative methods for tuberculosis is discussed.
