Evaluación del proceso de colaboración en la resolución de problemas

     El propósito de este estudio cualitativo fue determinar el nivel de las habilidades colaborativas de tres grupos de estudiantes de la carrera de ingeniería  civil, que están cursando la asignatura de  física,  mientras resuelven  problemas  utilizando  las progresiones  empíricas,  desarrolladas  por  la  organización “Assessment  and  Teaching  of  21st  Century  Skills”.  El procedimiento  seguido  por  este  estudio  fue  el  siguiente: (1) Seleccionar a los estudiantes participantes mediante un muestreo a  propósito.  (2)  Dividir  a  los  estudiantes  en  tres  grupos  de cuatro  integrantes:  un  grupo  compuesto  solamente  de  cuatro hombres,  un grupo  compuesto  solamente  de  cuatro  mujeres  y  grupo compuesto  de  dos  hombres  y  dos  mujeres.  (3)  Presentar  los problemas  a  los  estudiantes.  (4)  Observar  a  los  estudiantes mientras  resuelven  los problemas.  (5)  Entrevistar  a  los estudiantes  después  del  proceso  de  resolución  de  problemas.  De acuerdo a lo observado los estudiantes pasaron por los niveles A y B para finalmente terminar en el Nivel C que corresponde a Toma de conciencia y esfuerzo dirigido.

    The purpose of this qualitative study was to determine the level of the collaborative skills of three groups of students of civil engineering,  who  are  taking  the  subject  of  physics,  while  they solve problems, using the empirical progressions developed by the Organization, Assessment and Teaching of 21st Century Skills. The procedure  followed  by  this  study  was  the  following:  (1)  Select the  participating  students  by purposeful  sampling.  (2)  Divide students into three groups of four members: a group composed only of four men, a group composed only of four women and group of two men  and  two  women.  (3)  Submit  the problem  to  the  students.  (4) Observing  students  as  they  solve  the  problem.  (5)  Interviewing the students after the problem solving process. According to the observation the students passed through level A and B and finally get level C, which corresponds to awareness and directed effort.
