Dialnet

Resumen de Baby talk.

Patricia K. Kuhl

  • The article examines child development studies which suggest that infants are born with the linguistic capabilities to master any language. It looks at how this research can help psychologists and physicians develop new methods of treating children with learning difficulties. Particular attention is given to the importance of statistical patterns, or the frequency with which sounds occur, in helping infants learn phonemes.
