  • The author examines the relation between epistemic and political virtues. He argues the essential contribution of the democratic processes to the intellectual character associated in search of the truth: intellectual courage (parrhesia), open-mindedness, fairmindedness… Also, he defends the centrality of these values to the deepening of democracy.
