    Reinhold, the great enthusiast of Kant's philosophy which he tried to systematize, left Iena for Kiel in 1794 at the top of his glory. Less than three years later, in February 1797, he astounded everyone in the intellectual world by publicly declaring himself a disciple of Fichte- Fichte, the young Professor who replaced him in his former chair at Iena. This paper is an effort at determining the reasons that brought about this conversion.

    Reinhold, chantre de la philosophie kantienne qu’il a cherché à systématiser, quitte en 1794, alors qu’il est au faîte de la gloire, Iéna pour Kiel. A peine trois ans plus tard, en février 1797, il stupéfie le monde intellectuel en se déclarant publiquement le disciple de Fichte, le jeune professeur qui lui a succédé à Iéna. Cet article cherche à établir les raisons de cette conversion.
