    El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la recepción del concepto de lo sublime en los Estados Unidos durante el siglo XIX. En primer lugar, vamos a estudiar la relación entre lo sublime y la tecnología, y el nuevo concepto americano: sublime tecnológico. En segundo lugar, vamos a abordar los diferentes aspectos de lo sublime en los Estados Unidos durante el siglo XIX. Por ejemplo: el turismo, la electricidad, y lo sublime nuclear. Por último, el objetivo principal de este trabajo es mostrar la posibilidad de otra lectura de lo sublime más allá de la versión normal de esta categoría.

    The aim of this article is to analyze the reception of the concept of the sublime in the United States during the nineteenth century. Firstly, we will study the relationship between the sublime and the technology, and the new american concept: technological sublime. Secondly, we will tackle the differents aspects of the sublime in United States during XIX century. For example: tourism, electricity, and nuclear sublime. Finally, the main objective of this paper is to show the possibility of another read of the sublime beyond the normal version of this category.
