  Creemos que cabe afirmar, que las políticas activas de turismo de la Hdad. Matriz de Ntra. Sra. del Rocío, son un hecho muy reciente, en el marco de su acción de gobierno e iniciativas en la historia de la devoción rociera. Más bien han sido otros agentes locales los que han llevado la iniciativa en esta materia, aprovechando todo lo que significa esta devoción, y con ella, este lugar del Rocío, como parte sustancial de Doñana. Este articulo, que parte de sus antecedentes más inmediatos, intenta delimitar y descifrar el papel promotor de la Hdad. Matriz en el desarrollo de las políticas turísticas en la aldea del Rocío.

  We believe that it is safe to affirm that the active policies regarding tourism held by the First Brotherhood of Our Lady of Rocío are a rather recent occurrence within the framework of their committee actions and initiatives throughout the history of the devotion to the Virgin of El Rocío. Concerning this subject matter, it has more often been other local agents which have taken the initiative, utilizing everything that this veneration means, and with it, the locality of El Rocío as a substantial part of Doñana. Using the Brotherhood's most recent history as a reference point, this article sets out to demarcate and decipher the role it plays in the development of tourism policies in the village of El Rocío.
