    Aún cuando los estudiosos del Aikido han incursionado en cierto enfoque físico a la hora de analizar las técnicas que componen este arte, tal enfoque ha sido muy pobre y de muy poca precisión científica, basada en muchos casos en posiciones idealistas. Por esto consideramos necesario exponer las limitaciones que ese análisis físico ha tenido durante todo el decursar histórico del Aikido y que ha contribuido a que su enseñanza resulte, para los occidentales, un tanto ambigua y cargada de misticismo.

    Even when Aikido´s followers have studied a certain physical approach at the time of analyzingthe techniques that compose this martial art, it has been very poorly treated by science and withlittle scientific precision, based, several times, on ideal theoretical positions. That is why it isconsidered necessary to present the limitations that this physical analysis has had throughout thehistorical evolution of Aikido which has contributed to make the teaching of this martial art, forthe western world, somehow ambiguous and full of mysticism.
