Embora na contemporaneidade estejamos a viver um momento de intensa produção terminológica e conceptual, a história urbana de Lisboa revela-nos que sempre existiu na cidade uma morfologia ininterrupta e mutante. O seminário ¿Cidades Performáticas: uma discussão sobre arte, arquitectura e espaço público realizado em 2014 na cidade de São Paulo procurou debater o papel da cultura como elemento de transformação urbana, afirmando a cidade como o grande palco, a arquitectura como (re) invenção e a criatividade como elemento transformador das relações entre corpo urbano e corpo humano. Tomando por empréstimo o conceito performativo que John Langshaw Austin usou em contexto linguístico, a comunicação Cidade, Criatividade, Cozinha: os 3 Cs no eixo ¿Príncipe Real¿ em Lisboa, pretende instigar a uma reflexão em torno das recentes acções performativas levadas a cabo no eixo do Príncipe Real constituído pela Rua do Alecrim, Rua da Misericórdia, Rua D. Pedro V, Praça do Príncipe Real e Rua da Escola Politécnica. Trata-se de um eixo antigo de Lisboa sobre o qual a promotora imobiliária americana EastBanc lançou um programa de transformação de um conjunto de edifícios históricos do século XIX, dos quais fazem parte Palacetes. Se as dinâmicas urbanas mesmo quando geradas por factores negativos, como a crise, não deixam de ser impulsionadoras de transformação, de movimento/ circulação, de uma qualquer forma de vivência do espaço urbano, o projecto para o eixo do Príncipe Real que procura promover acontecimentos performativos, reconhecendo a sua importância para a dinâmica urbana, encontrou no lifestyle da EsatBanc a sua manifestação mais sofisticada e singular. A mais recente performatividade urbana será a abertura do Hotel Memmo Príncipe Real, cujo restaurante Café Colonial será uma síntese da herança portuguesa ao redor do mundo, assumindo cidade, criatividade e cozinha como os mais recentes 3 Cs.

Although in our days we are experiencing a moment of intense terminological and conceptual production, the urban history of Lisbon reveals that there has always existed in the city an uninterrupted and changing morphology. The seminar �Performing Cities: a discussion of art, architecture and public space� held in 2014 in São Paulo sought to discuss the role of culture as an element of urban transformation, intended to affirm the city as the grand stage, (re)invention and creativity as transforming element of the relations between urban and human bodies. Borrowing the performative concept used by John Langshaw Austin in a linguistic context, the paper City, Creativity, Cooking: the 3 Cs on the axis �Principe Real� in Lisbon aims to instigate a reflection on the recent performative actions carried out in the axis of the Príncipe Real constituted by Rua do Alecrim, Rua da Misericórdia, Rua D. Pedro V, Príncipe Real Square and Rua da Escola Politécnica. It is an old axis of Lisbon on which the American real estate EastBanc launched a program to transform a set of nineteenth-century historic buildings including some Palaces. If the urban dynamics, even when generated by negative factors, such as the crisis, do not stop being the driving force of transformation, of movement / circulation, of any form of living in urban space, the project for the Axis of the Principe Real that seeks to promote events recognizing their importance for urban dynamics, found in the EsatBanc lifestyle its most sophisticated and unique manifestation. The most recent urban performativity will be the opening of the Memmo Príncipe Real Hotel, whose Café Colonial restaurant will be a synthesis of the Portuguese heritage around the world, taking on the city, creativity and cuisine as the latest 3 Cs.
