    Medio ambiente y cultura son materias afines, pero con reglas muy diferentes de reparto competencial entre Estado y Comunidades Autónomas. No obstante, a juicio del autor, las SSTC 122/2014 y 177/2016, sobre la Ley madrileña de patrimonio histórico y la prohibición catalana de las corridas de toros, respectivamente, ponen de manifiesto implícita, que no explícitamente, una cierta comprensión en clave ambiental del reparto de competencias en materia cultural y de patrimonio histórico, que puede ser saludable para superar las dificultades que siempre ha ofrecido la interpretación de este último

    Environment and culture are related subjects, but with very different rules of division of powers between the State and Autonomous Communities. However, according to the author, the SSTC 122/2014 and 177/2016, on the Madrid law of historical heritage and the Catalan prohibition of bullfighting, respectively, implicitly show, that not explicitly, a certain understanding in environmental key of the distribution of competencies in cultural and historical heritage, which can be healthy to overcome the difficulties that the interpretation of the latter has always offered
