En octubre de 2017 se cumple el primer centenario de la revolución rusa, un acontecimiento histórico crucial para comprender la historia reciente. El cine fue vindicado como uno de los medios artísticos y de comunicación social más importantes, tanto por los primeros revolucionarios, como por el régimen soviético, hasta la caída de la URSS en 1991. Un siglo después de los acontecimientos de octubre resulta interesante contemplar las relaciones entre ambos fenómenos, de cara a realizar un balance sobre cómo se influyeron entre sí, hasta la Rusia de nuestros días.

October 2017 marks the first centenary of the Russian revolution, a crucial historical event to understand recent history. Cinema was vindicated as one of the most important artistic and social media, both by the early revolutionaries and by the Soviet regime, until the fall of the USSR in 1991. A century after the events of October, it is interesting to contemplate the Relations between both phenomena, in order to take stock of how they influenced each other, until the Russia of our days.
