    La investigación aborda una de las manifestaciones del sistema de selección deportiva relacionadas con la formación del deportista y su continuidad. La búsqueda se sustentó esencialmente en la caracterización de la población ofrecida por el Proyecto de Potencialidades Deportivas del Centro de Estudios e Investigación de las Ciencias Aplicadas al Deporte en la Montaña de la Facultad de Cultura Física de Granma y se planteó como objetivo, determinar Indicadores físicos, antropométricos y técnicos para la selección y especialización del Baloncesto, desde la comunidad.

    The investigation approaches one of the manifestations of the system of sport selection related with the sportsman's training and its continuity. The search was sustained essentially in the population's characterization offered by the Sport Potentialities Project from the Applied Sciences to Sport in the Mountain Studies and Research Center from the Physical Culture Faculty of Granma province and it set out as its objective, to determine physical, anthropometrics and technical indicators for the selection and specialization of Basketball, from the community.
