Consequently, the decisions made in this matter in the present conjuncture will affect for a long time the courses, not only of the oil industry, but of the entire Venezuelan society. This is, in our view, the entity that is discussed: the magnitude of the resources whose destiny is at stake constitute a sufficient critical mass to leave a deep imprint on the socioeconomic structures of the country, as it has done throughout this century, Starting from there analyze the importance of oil economic policy as a way for growth and sustainable development in the country.
