Resumen de L'Ars moriendi como a gènere: processos de construcció i de recontextualització

Most of the Catalan studies regarding the Ars moriendi have frequently identified it with the Tractatus artis bene moriendi (cp) or with the brief version of lhe Ars (Qs). The idea that these two texts are only an example among all the Artes moriendi has often been neglected. In fact, the Artes are the result of some previous and contemporary materials, in a sort of acumulative construction. If we take all these considerations into account, we may reach the conclusion that other Catalan works could be included under the epigraph of the 'Arts de ben morir'. Moreover, there exists a list of minor works included in the Arts which also had an independent diffusion, such as the 'Confessions e justificacions del savi peccador' or the translation of 'Admonitio Anselmi'.

En la tradició catalana d'estudis sobre el tema, gairebé sempre s'ha parlat de l'Ars moriendi medieval identificant-lo amb el Tractatus artis bene moriendi (cp) o amb la versió breu de l'Ars (Qs). S'ha oblidat sovint que aquests dos textos sols presenten una de les redaccions possibles que oferia el genere, un genere que, per una altra banda, es nodria de materials anteriors i coetanis en una mena de construcció acumulativa. Si tenim en compte aquestes consideracions, comprovarem com es multipliquen les obres catalanes candidates a entrar plenament dins de I'epígraf 'Arts de ben morir' i com descobrim, a I'interior o al costat d'aquestes, altres obres menors que també tenien difusió independent, com ara les 'Confessions e justificacions del savi peccador' o la traducció de l'Admonitio Anselmi
