El judeoespañol, ¿una variedad olvidada?

    A lo largo del análisis de tres contextos diferentes –el influjo de la cultura francesa en el Imperio Otomano, el encuentro con el senador Ángel Pulido y su descubrimiento filológico por la escuela pidalina–, en la siguiente contribución se plantea que el judeoespañol no ha sido una variedad olvidada, sino que los valores con los que se lo ha asociado han dependido de los lentes ideológicos a través de los cuales ha sido percibido. Concretamente, proponemos que se ha tratado de las posturas monoglósicas, imperantes en el siglo XIX y buena parte del siglo XX, y de las ideologías regeneracionistas, noventayochista y filosefardistas de la España finisecular.

    Throughout the analysis of three different contexts — the influence of French culture on the Ottoman Empire, the encounter with Senator Angel Pulido and its philological discovery by the pidaline school — the following contribution proposes the thesis that the Judeo-Spanish was not a forgotten variety. Much more the values with which it has been associated have depended on the ideological lens through which it has been perceived. Specifically we propose that we have dealt with the monoglossic positions, prevailing in the nineteenth century and much of the twentieth century, and different Spanish ideological movements in the 19th century: the Regenarationism, theGeneration of the 98 and the Philosephardism.
