In an attempt to understand the relationships between men and women - town is that inserts this research, seeking to analyze the daily violent couples to Senador Pompeu / CE. We believe that the approach of the historian with this font, it will provide access to moral values judged correct or not by society. Finally, this research underlie in the constant dialogue of History and Law, seeking discuss representations concerning social relations, crime, justice and culture.

Na tentativa de compreender as relações homem-mulher-cidade é que se insere esta pesquisa, na busca por analisar o cotidiano violento dos casais de Senador Pompeu/CE. Tendo como área de atuação a linha de pesquisa em Práticas Urbanas no Mestrado da UECE, pegamonos a refletir até que ponto a violência passional era encarada como violência perante os olhos atentos da cidade, isto é, em que condições ela extrapolava níveis toleráveis de aceitação no espaço urbano? Essencialmente utilizamos como fonte as ações criminais encontradas no Fórum. Utilizaremos também os livros de protocolos, tombos e atas de julgamentos. Acreditamos que a aproximação do historiador com este tipo de fonte, possibilitará um acesso aos valores morais julgados corretos ou não pela sociedade. Por fim, esta pesquisa embasa-se no constante dialogo da História e Direito, na busca de discutir as representações, concernentes às relações sociais, ao crime, justiça e cultura.
