Resumen de Análisis de integración de las TIC en un centro educativo de Ecuador

  La presente investigación tiene como propósito diagnosticar el estado de integración de las TIC en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la Unidad Educativa Particular Terranova, en Ecuador. El marco teórico se centra en las TIC en la enseñanza, los planes de integración TIC en varios países;

  y en la Competencia Digital, tanto del docente como del alumnado. La metodología parte de un paradigma interpretativo con metodología mixta en la que el enfoque cualitativo tuvo un gran peso durante el proceso de investigación a pesar de que también se recaba información de un instrumento cuantitativo. Los resultados evidencian la existencia de cierto nivel de integración de las TIC en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje al mismo tiempo que se señala la necesidad institucional de proveer a un número considerable de sus docentes con más tiempo para formación en TIC, inversiones en más tabletas y ordenadores, contratar un Coordinador de TIC y renovar las licencias de plataformas educativas

  This research has as principal purpose to diagnose the state of integration of ICT in the school�s teaching-learning processes of the �Unidad Educativa Particular Terranova�, located in Cumbayá, Ecuador. The theoretical framework is focused on ICT in education; in plans for ICT integration in several countries; and in the Digital Competence, both the teacher and the students. The methodology that is used comes from the interpretive paradigm and it is part of an empirical and exploratory investigation whose methodology is mixed and in which the qualitative approach has great weight during the investigation process even though it also gathers information from a quantitative tool as the questionnaire. The results highlighted the existence of a certain level of integration of ICT in the teaching-learning processes while institutional needs were also noticed in order to provide a considerable number of teachers with more time and training in ICT, to invest in more tablets and computers, to provide the Preschool and Primary sections with an ICT Coordinator, and to renew online educational platforms licenses.
