Resumen de Los documentos cervantinos: Nuevas perspectivas de análisis y de divulgación en el siglo XXI

José Manuel Lucía Megías

  • Around the middle of the nineteenth century, the first of many Cervantes-related documents—specifically, his death certificate of 22 Abril 1616—came to light. Since then, archival work in search of new Cervantes documents has continued unabated. Recent discoveries in the parochial and ecclesiastical archives have demonstrated the need to continue excavating this important field of study. At the same time, these discoveries have revealed the need for a truly scientific system of classification of these materials; hence the creation of Cervantes 2.0, a corpus of Cervantes documents that provides access to not only facsimiles of the original texts, but also paleographic transcriptions and critical studies of each of these original documents.
