La tradición naturalista de algunos jesuitas en los Andes

Resum:	Los humanistas propusieron estudiar la historia natural del Nuevo Mundo, desde su concepción integral del ser humano, cuando notaron allí modos tan diferentes de humanidad respecto del Viejo Mundo. Pero no fueron muchos humanistas personalmente al Nuevo Mundo, siendo substituidos por la clase letrada allí desplazada para cumplir los compromisos misionales de la monarquía hispánica: es decir, los misioneros. Entre éstos destacaron los jesuitas por su nacimiento más moderno y secular, por sus métodos humanistas de enseñanza y por su proyecto centralizado, bien informado y divulgado de lograr la cristianización 'indiana'. Consideramos la larga trayectoria del conocimiento naturalista americano de los jesuitas, mediadores entre el humanismo renacentista y la posterior ilustración, seleccionando algunos personajes representativos en el virreinato peruano, relacionados con la obra de Josef de Acosta.
Resum:	Humanists proposed to study the natural history of the New World, from his integrated conception of human beings, when they noticed there modes so different from humanity with regard to the Old World. But not many humanists were personally to the New World, being replaced by the illustrated class displaced there because of the missionary commitments of the Spanish monarchy: i. e. , the missionaries. These included the Jesuits by its birth more modern and secular, humanistic teaching methods and his project centralized, well informed, and reported for the «indiana» Christianization. We consider the long history of American naturalist knowledge of the Jesuits, mediators between Renaissance humanism and the later Enlightenment, by selecting some representative persomalities in the Peruvian Viceroyalty, connected with the work by Josef de Acosta.
