Sensitive, non-judgemental history taking and careful examination are crucial steps in facilitating the correct diagnosis in symptomatic women as well as in providing the basis for delivering safe and effective treatment to the patient and her partner(s). The article provides detailed information about how to do this, including sample questions to ask.
