In this issue of JAMA, we are pleased to publish the first 2 articles in our yearlong series on Innovations in Health Care Delivery.1 Somewhat different than last year’s series on Scientific Discovery and the Future of Medicine,2 this series will feature both Viewpoints and original research.1 Accordingly, this series will include not only articles that describe potential innovations that could reduce costs and improve care and outcomes but also rigorous studies and systematic reports of outcomes based on innovations that have already been developed and tested and that have led to meaningful improvement in health care delivery.1 These articles will run through 2016, and authors from around the world are welcome to submit manuscripts for this series.
