Los establecimientos hoteleros presentan una estrecha relación con las nuevas tecnologías 2.0. En este sentido, el presente estudio se centra en el turismo, analizando toda su evolución hasta el reciente Turismo 2.0 y el uso de los medios sociales, como elemento estratégico en el marketing y la comunicación de las organizaciones turísticas. A través de un cuestionario, se analiza en qué medida los establecimientos de Tenerife se ajustan a la realidad que estamos viviendo, realizando un análisis del nivel de apoyo de los establecimientos hoteleros de la isla de Tenerife en la red, con la finalidad de obtener una imagen más clara del contexto y situación actual del desarrollo y uso de las redes sociales e internet en el sector hotelero de la Isla de Tenerife. El estudio parece confirmar que la planta hotelera de la Isla está presente en su totalidad en la red.

The hotels have a close relationship with new technologies 2.0. In this sense, the present study focuses on tourism, analyzing all its evolution to the recent Tourism 2.0 and the use of social media as a strategic element in the marketing and communication of tourism organizations. Through a survey, we analyze the extent to which Tenerife´s establishments fit the reality we are living, analyzing the level of support for the hotel establishments of the island of Tenerife in the network, in order to obtain a clearer picture of the context and current situation of development and use of social networks and the Internet in the hotel sector of the island of Tenerife. The study seems to confirm that the hotel infrastructure of the island is present in its entirety on the network.
