    El objetivo es el estudio de la religiosidad popular durante los siglos XVI y XVII en la villa cordobesa de Belmez y sus aldeas de Doña Rama, El Álamo y El Hoyo. Las manifestaciones del fenómeno más significativas son la vitalidad del movimiento cofrade y el arraigo de algunas devociones marianas. También la fiesta del Corpus Christi y las procesiones de Semana Santa tienen relevancia. Por último, hay que mencionar la influencia ejercida por los predicadores cuaresmales.

    The aim is the study of the popular religiousness during the XVI and XVII centuries in Belmez (a town from Cordoba) and its small villages: Doña Rama, El Álamo and El Hoyo.

    The most significant display of this phenomenon is the brotherhood’s vitality and the deep-seatedness of some Marian devotions. The feast day of Corpus Christi of and Holy Week processions are also outstanding. Finally, Lent preachers’ influence should be mentioned.
