En la Edad Moderna europea y como consecuencia de las nuevas doctrinas que surgen para explicar y justificar el control que el poder real ejerce sobre la jurisdicción eclesiástica, aparecen en la escena jurídica una serie de figuras. En Portugal, se encuentra el recurso à Corôa; en España, el llamado recurso de fuerza. Ambos institutos participan de un análogo ambiente doctrinal lo que justifica sus semejanzas. Sin embargo, no hay una identidad, y las particularidades históricas y jurídicas de ambas monarquías explican las diferencias que se aprecian entre estos dos recursos.

In the Modern European Age and as a consequence of the new doctrines that serve to explain and to justify the control that the royal power exercises on the ecclesiastic jurisdiction, a series of figures appear in the juridical scene. In Portugal, one finds the Resource to Corôa; in Spain, the so called Resoruce of Force. Both institutes inform of an analogous doctrinal environment what justifies their similarities. Nevertheless, there is no an identity, and the historical and juridical particularities of both Monarchies explain the differences that they appreciate between these two resources.
