Resumen de La formación en inglés con fines específicos y el uso de las artes y la literatura al servicio de la Ciencia Forestal

  El patrimonio forestal y su paisaje han inspirado a artistas y escritores en la creación de obras artísticas. Este estudio, a su vez, ha considerado estos aspectos en el marco del proceso de formación en Inglés con Fines Específicos (PFIFE) y revela la fundamentación del empleo armónico de las artes y la literatura y la ciencia forestal para movilizar la motivación de los estudiantes hacia el desarrollo de las habilidades comunicativas a favor del uso de este idioma como instrumento de estudio y trabajo profesional. Su realización se concreta en una tarea comunicativa especializada (TCE), centrada en el uso del portafolio del estudiante desarrollado en varias fases que da origen al inicialmente llamado movimiento ForestArt, en el marco del referido proceso. Esta propuesta contribuye a la formación general integral del futuro ingeniero al resaltar el valor de uso del idioma que se aprende, la comprensión de la ciencia forestal desde una perspectiva artística, al reafirmar aspectos de identidad nacional, y entendimiento de otras culturas.

  This study shows the results obtained during the implementation of a task using the arts as means to achieve the communication in the English language. The results of this proposal were based on pedagogical and didactic theoretical ground, the methodology of language teaching and the use of arts in the learning process, which allowed proposing a pedagogical conception of the English for specific purposes´ formation process through the arts and, as one of its constituent ideas, was that of declaring that the process was to be implemented in the development of the communicative specialized task by means of the use of the arts related to the forestry activity as means to motivate the students towards an efficient the learning of the English language in order to communicate with members of their scientific community. The task is classified into preparation and practical actions and expansion and transfer actions, it was implemented in three stages and originated the ForestArt movement. The implementation of the communicative specialized task permitted to achieve communicative aims and contributed to the entire formation of the students highlighting the valuable use of the English language and the comprehension of the forestry science reaffirming aspects of national identity, from an artistic perspective.
