  Este artículo analiza, de manera comparada, la tendencia latinoamericana del último lustro a crear institutos, centros o escuelas de formación democrática dentro de la estructura de los organismos electorales. Se describen dichos institutos, sus funciones y públicos meta, identificando los rasgos comunes. Asimismo, se describen las principales líneas de trabajo en capacitación y en gestión del conocimiento por parte de esos institutos. También se comparan sus estructuras administrativas y las previsiones de financiamiento para sus actividades. Finalmente, se hace un recuento de las tendencias generales de diseño

  This article presents a comparative analysis on the Latin American trend, for the last five years, to create democratic training institutes, centers, or schools within the structure of electoral bodies. The analysis provides a description of the institutes, their functions, and target audiences, and it also identifies their common traits. Likewise, the article describes the main lines of work of theses institutes in regards to training and knowledge management. The analysis also presents a comparison between their administrative structures and funding forecasts for their activities. Finally, the article presents a summary of the general trends of design
