Resumen de Fármacos antifúngicos utilizados en el tratamiento de la micosis

  Las infecciones fúngicas pueden originar diversos tipos de lesiones, tanto a nivel bucal como en otras localizaciones. En pacientes con alteraciones del nivel inmunitario, dichas infecciones ocasionan lesiones muy agresivas, a veces con graves consecuencias. El objetivo del presente trabajo es resumir las características básicas de las infecciones micóticas que afectan al ser humano, así como los principales tipos de agentes antifúngicos para su tratamiento. Se clasifican y describen los distintos fármacos disponibles, según su composición e indi caciones, destacando cuáles son sus ventajas y limitaciones más importantes, desde una perspectiva médico-bucal.
