This basis article considers that the textbook can be analyzed as a book based on its organizational and spatial structure. It aims to understand why the current essence of the textbook is defined by putting together a set of such multiples spaces as: geographical, internal content (textual and iconographic), school, classroom, conceptual, reading, and hypertextual and reception readability. In this context, while today's multimedia multiplies the sources of information and documentation, the textbook can only make sense in school if it remains as a book and becomes rooted in student’s mind, no matter what the school subject is going to be considered, the habit of the reasoned and argued discourse. Currently, the textbook, in their print and digital versionsis a contextualized book object that is closely related to the notion of space.
