A ciência moderna e as concepções contemporâneas em discursos de professores-pesquisadores: entre rupturas e a continuidade

    Ao longo de seu percurso a ciência recebeu influência de várias concepções filosóficas. Entre as correntes de maior impacto e longevidade na construção da ciência encontra-se o positivismo, caracterizado pela idéia de uma ciência linear e cumulativa. Estes valores outorgaram à Ciência Moderna a portabilidade de verdades e a legitimação de conceitos. Todavia, a passagem entre os séculos XX e XXI trouxe dentre seus sintomas o confronto entre tais valores e as idéias pautadas nas incertezas e imprevisibilidades, caracterizadas pelo que se poderia denominar de Paradigma da Ciência Contemporânea. Mas afinal, quais valores permeiam a Ciência no século XXI? Nas ciências particulares, tal panorama se evidencia na genética biomolecular. Durante o desenvolvimento do Projeto Genoma Humano, expectativas e frustrações se intercalaram. Entretanto, seus resultados revelaram mais questionamentos do que respostas aos anseios de uma Ciência marcada pelas certezas. Diante disso, a presente pesquisa buscou observar quais desses valores alcançaram a Ciência no século XXI.

    Portanto, este trabalho investigou as concepções científicas nos discursos de professores-pesquisadores sobre as pesquisas genéticas, ocorridas na passagem do século XX para o XXI. Foram utilizadas questões semiestruturadas sobre as pesquisas genéticas, e também, a Fenomenologia como suporte metodológico para desvelar os valores implícitos nos discursos.

    Throughout its passage science received influence from some philosophical conceptions. Among the chains of bigger impact and longevity in the construction of science meets the positivism, characterized for the idea of a linear and cumulative science. These values had granted to Modern Science the portability of truths and the legitimation of concepts.

    However, the ticket between centuries XX and XXI bring amongst its symptoms the confrontation between such values and the ideas based in the uncertainties and imprevisibility, characterized for what it could call Contemporary Paradigm of Science. But after all, which values goes throughout Science in century XXI? In particular sciences, such panorama is confirmed in the Biomolecular Genetics. During the development of the Human Genome Project, expectations and frustrations had intercalated.

    However, its results had disclosed more questionings of what answers to the yearnings of a Science marked for the certainty. Based on this, the present research looked to observe which of these values had reached the Science in century XXI. Therefore, this work investigated the scientific conceptions in the speeches of professor-researchers about the genetic researches, occured in the ticket of century XX for the XXI. Questions halfstructuralized about the genetic research, and also, the Phenomenology as methodological support to discover the implicit values in the speeches.
