Resumen de El campeonato del mundo de tiro de 1912 desde la perspectiva española

El objetivo de este estudio es analizar el campeonato mundial de tiro en Bayona-Biarritz de 1912 desde el punto de vista de la participación española. En esta investiga-ción hemos analizado cómo se abordaba por parte de España, la invitación ofi cial realiza-da por una organización deportiva extranjera, la forma de seleccionar a los miembros para acudir a dicho evento mundial y para fi nalizar cómo fue nuestra participación en dicho evento. España adoptó tarde la decisión de ir al campeonato del mundo de tiro, se forman tarde y de manera parcial los equipos que iban a asistir al evento mundial, dando lugar a pocos entrenamientos. A pesar de todo ello, España realiza un buen papel, consiguiendo proclamarse Julio Castro el primer campeón del mundo en una disciplina deportiva, en este caso el tiro.

The aim of this study is to analyze the word championship shot in Bayonne- Biarritz in 1912, from the point of view of the Spanish participation. In this study we have analyzed how addressed by Spain, the offi cial invitation by a foreign sports organization, how to select members to attend this global event and to fi nish what was our participation in this event. Spain adopted later the decision to go to the world championship of shooting, form later and partially the teams were to attend the global event, taking place a few workouts. Despite this, Spain makes a good job, getting Julio Castro proclaimed the fi rst world champion in a sport, in this case the shot.
