Resumen de Cine, memoria y nación: una mirada sobre las representaciones de la dictadura civil-militar en Brasil

  El presente artículo es un informe que parte de la investigación realizada para mi tesina de máster en antropología. Aquí propongo discutir sobre las relaciones entre cine, memoria y las construcciones sobre la nación, a partir de las representaciones del periodo correspondiente a la dictadura civil-mili- tar brasileña (1964-1985) en las narrativas del cine brasileño contemporáneo.

  El objetivo es reflexionar sobre la discusión entre realidad y ficción de las películas basadas en acontecimientos históricos, lo cual puede crear, reforzar o modificar el imaginario sobre el período y, del mismo modo, puede actuar en la construcción de discursos imaginativos sobre la nación que reformula- rían la memoria social. Entiendo el cine como lenguaje que conlleva una com- pleja relación entre autor y espectador, y que posee diversas posibilidades de análisis e interpretación. En este sentido, considero los vínculos existentes entre arte y vida y entre lenguaje y discurso, además de las representaciones sobre memoria y nación.

  This article is a report of my master’s thesis research in anthropology.

  Here I propose to discuss the relations between cinema, memory and the construction of the idea of nation, as of the representations related to the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship (1964-1985) in the narratives of contem- porary Brazilian cinema period. The aim is to reflect about the discussion between reality and fiction on films based on historical events, which can cre- ate, improve or modify the imaginary about that period and, also, proceed in the construction of imaginative discourses about the idea of nation which may reformulate social memory. I understand cinema as a type of language that supposes a complex relationship between author and viewer, and entails many possibilities for analysis and interpretation. In this sense, I consider the links between art and life, and between language and speech, in addition to the representations of memory and nation.
