• In late 2015 Stanley Hoffmann, Paul and Catherine Buttenwieser University Professor Emeritus at Harvard University and a longtime member of this journal's Editorial Board, passed away. Few knew Professor Hoffmann better than Joseph Nye, Chairman Emeritus of the International Security Editorial Board and University Distinguished Service Professor at Harvard University.
