    En 1490 Juan Ramírez de Guzmán y su mujer doña Brianda Portocarrero fundaron un mayorazgo cuyo bien principal sería la dehesa de Villaverde. La casa se engrandeció con el título de condes de Villaverde en 1602. A principios del siglo XVIII se extinguió la línea sucesoria de los Guzmán y el estado recayó sucesivamente en el marqués de Valparaíso, el conde de Torrejón y el conde de Villariezo. Los secuestros por la militancia austracista del primero y las liquidaciones de rentas al cambiar el estado de titular nos permiten hacer una valoración de sus rentas a lo largo del siglo XVIII y primeras décadas del XIX.

    In 1490, Juan Ramírez de Guzmán and his wife Mrs. Brianda Portocarrero founded a entailed state, which most important property was the dehesa de Villaverde(a pasture). In 1602, the house was magnified with the title of condes de Villaverde (Counts of Villaverde). At the beginning of the 18th century, the line of succession of the Guzmán family ended and the entailed state was inherited successively by the marqués de Valparaíso (Marquis of Valparaíso), the conde de Torrejón (Count of Torrejón) and the conde de Villariezo (Count of Villariezo). Their incomes along the 18th and 19th century can be measured and valued by to ways. One is analyzing the income liquidation when the state owner changes and the other is the fact that the Marquis of Valparaíso was kidnapped by the supporters of Charles VI, the Emperor.
