  • WHITTINGTON Lodge in the entrance courtyard to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has been awarded Grade II Listed status. The home says that the rendered brick building, which was built in 1907, was possibly the very first cattery in the UK, and housed 787 stray cats in its first year of use.
