Resumen de La sostenibilidad social en el proceso de rehabilitación de los centros históricos: el caso del Centro Histórico La Habana Vieja
We need to create a social politic in the areas of the Historical Centers, only in that way we will be able to keep their social, historical and cultural richness. We present the experience of the Old Havana Historical Center where we have developed, since 1993, different projects on the health, the recreation, the education and the employment for the benefits of the local community. This project influence aspects as: the social justice, the integrity of the community, the life quality, the identity and the local development. It has contribute in the social sustainability offering the population the right to the culture, giving special attention to the vulnerable groups, developing jobs, offering the right to the public services and housing.
