  • Resumen
    • An experiment was conducted in a semiarid region located in the State of Zulia, western of Venezuela, to evaluate the seasonal variation in crude protein content (CP) and in vitro organic matter digestibility (IVOMD) of ten Centrosema promising accessions. The accessions were planted in a randomize complete block design, with three replications. Evaluations were made every twelve weeks during two years in both rainy and dry seasons. Crude protein in the dry season was 16.74 % and 18. 73 % in the rainy season (P < .05). Inversely, IVOMD was higher (P < .05) during the dry season (54.50 %) than in the rainy season (53.74 %) Centrosema pubescens CIAT 5627 had the highest CP and IVOMD with 18.4 % and 57.37% in the dry season and 20.11 and 58.21 % in the wet season, respectively.
