    • The article explains the duties and responsibilities of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of Great Britain in promoting competition in financial services in the interest of consumers. It mentions the objectives set by the FCA for promoting competition in the financial services market. Also highlighted are the efforts of the FCA to increase resources and expertise in the competition field and its concurrent powers. The obligation of businesses to comply with the competition law is discussed.
