Resumen de El alfar almohade de la calle Terrer Leonés de Lorca (Murcia)

  La excavación arqueológica preventiva en el solar ubicado entre las calles Corredera y Terrer Leonés de Lorca ha aportado la aparición de un alfar almohade del siglo XII en esta parte de la ciudad, lo que supone un importante salto cualitativo para el conocimiento de este barrio artesano, el cual tuvo su desarrollo a partir de dicha época y hasta la conquista cristiana. Se estudian las características de este obrador en el contexto del siglo XII, el funcionamiento y tipología de las distintas infraestructuras documentadas más que un estudio de su producción cerámica.

  In the archaeological preventive excavation of the building site located between the Corredera and the Terrer Leonés streets of Lorca, appeared an Almohad potter’s workshop from the 12th century. This is a quantum qualitative leap for the knowledge of this craft area, from which there is very little information, which had its development from that Muslim period to the Christian Conquest. Therefore, the aim of this study is to show the characteristics of this workshop in the context of the 12th century and the functioning and typology of the different documented infrastructures more than to study the production pottery.
