    Se presenta una revisión completa de la enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal, haciendo énfasis en los aspectos médicos pero sin olvidar el enfoque quirúrgico. Este tema de gran interés tanto para el clínico como para el cirujano, presenta algunos aspectos nuevos con respecto a su fisiopatología y manejo, lo que justifica esta revisión.

    It is presented a complete review of the inflammatory bowel disease, focusing in the medical topics but, without forgeting me surgeons approach. This topic, as interesting for the clinician as me surgeon, has some new aspects in its pathophisiology and in its therapy, and is certainly this justify this review.
